Ronnie Harris, one of the founding members of The Men of Sandtown- organization, serves as Treasurer. His family moved to Sandtown in the early 1990’s. As a youth growing up in the Sandtown community, he attended Harlem Park Middle School and Frederick Douglass High School. Growing up in Sandtown was challenging and, Ronnie’s journey traversed hardships like many young men in Sandtown communities face today. Ronnie worked hard to overcome surmounting odds. Mr. Harris has grown working hard in the community which he once called home sharing his passion for fishing and boating with youth by, coordinating charters, supporting community football games and food drives. Ronnie is a Master Carpenter and owner of Harris Homes and Services. A small minority business. Ronnie utilizes his skillset to build beautiful residential and commercial spaces across the greater Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia region. As a husband and proud father of 6, Ronnie knows the impact of serving others in the community. He has been blessed to be given guidance over the years and hopes to pay it forward and share his story with youth to impact their choices in a positive way.
